Membership with UN ESCAP Business Advisory Council (EBAC)

Another feather in our cap — we are thrilled to share that our Managing Director, Mr. Akash Bhavsar, has been appointed has been appointed as the member of UN ESCAP Business Advisory Council (EBAC)

About UNESCAP and EBAC

The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) is the regional development arm of the United Nations for the Asia-Pacific region. Consisting of executives and representatives of leading businesses in a wide range of  industries and sectors from across the Asia-Pacific region, EBAC was established in 2004 and has provided substantive support and in-kind contribution to various ESCAP activities ever since.

EBAC members consist of business leaders, CEOs, representatives and experts from or operating in regional member and associate member countries/economies of ESCAP. They conform to and promote ethical and responsible business practices and fully subscribe to United Nations principles and norms. EBAC members also strive towards full implementation of the principles of the global compact and towards global compact membership.

It is a great privilege to represent India along with the likes of Mr. Narayan Murthy,chairman, Infosys and Dr Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, CMD, Biocon, the members of EBAC from India

With this membership, our MD, Mr. Bhavsar will get the opportunity to contribute towards establishment of  a regional sustainable business network, consisting of two task forces:

  • Green Business
  • Social Enterprises and Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs)

 

On Board with Technology Innovation International (TII) Europe

We are thrilled to share that our Managing Director, Mr. Akash Bhavsar, has been appointed as a member on board of Technology Innovation International (TII), Europe’s premier independent association of technology transfer and innovation support professionals.

About TII and the Association

  • TII creates a vibrant hub for members to share professional experience and good practice, to facilitate business opportunities for them and to support them in their technology transfer and innovation assignments.
  • TII members are promoting or providing high quality innovation support and technology transfer services to firms, with the ultimate aim to develop the knowledge economy and boost the wealth creation process.

The TII Board of Management consists of one representative for each country of the EU27, as well as one member to represent the affiliate members (members based in countries outside the EU). It is a great privilege for an Indian member to represent on board. This appointment is a testimonial to the significant role and contribution of SkyQuest and our MD, Mr. Bhavsar, in the technology transfer ecosystem across borders.
