Four I-SOx open loop scrubbers with exhaust de-plume systems from Wartsila have been chosen by Trasmed GLE S.L. for the RoPax vessels Ciudad de Granada and Volcan del Tide, which operate in the Mediterranean Sea.
  • In October 2021, Babcock & Wilcox announced that its B&W Environmental division has been given a contract for the design and provision of an entire suite of environmental technologies for a US industrial facility. The contract is valued at about USD $30 million. To reduce emissions from the plant, B&W Environmental will design and provide a waste heat boiler, soot blowers, and ash handling equipment, as well as dry and wet electrostatic precipitators (ESPs), a dry sorbent injection (DSI) system, an activated carbon injection (ACI) system, a baghouse, and caustic scrubbers.
