  • In October 2024, KYOCERA Fineceramics Medical GmbH announced the launch of its new facility to manufacture medical ceramic products and meet the rapidly increasing demand for medical ceramics for implants. Located in Stuttgart, Germany, the facility is expected to be fully operational by September 2025 for the manufacturing of high-quality ceramic ball heads for hip prostheses and other implants. 
  • In September 2024, a new 3D ceramic printer for industrial applications was launched by Lithoz, a renowned 3D printer maker from Austria. CeraFab System S320 is capable of manufacturing mid-size medical implants, industrial components, and semiconductor components as well. Through this move Lithoz bolstered its position in the medical ceramics business. 
  • In March 2022, bredent medical, a leading provider of dental implants from Germany announced the launch of its new zirconia dental implant system called whiteSky Tissue Line. Bredent expanded its presence in the dental implant space through this move and cemented its market share as well.
