  • November 2023: Launching its sustainable tourism series, Visit Keweenaw, the tourism body for the Keweenaw Peninsula, aims to raise awareness of light pollution prevention science and the region's black sky for upcoming generations.  
  • November 2023: Launching three unique hotel buildings with an eco-tourism focus, NEOM teamed up with Our Habitas. In the heart of a wadi oasis created by nature, these three new projects in Leyja will be situated between 400-meter-tall mountains. 
  • October 2023: An innovative worldwide research centre was established by the Tourism Global Center (STGC) of Saudi Arabia. Improved techniques that meet the needs of the travel and tourist industry as a whole and accelerate the industry's shift to climate neutrality are offered by the new global research centre. 
  • June 2022:  To promote more sustainable and ethical travel destinations, the Indian Ministry of Tourism collaborated with the United Environment Program (UNEP), the Responsible Tourism Society of India (RTSOI), and other organizations to host a national summit. The national plan for responsible traveller campaigns and sustainable tourism was introduced by the Indian Tourism Ministry. The promotion is expected to encourage support for sustainable tourist values, such as sociocultural, economic, and environmental sustainability, according to the ministry of tourism.
