This product is manufactured using the bio-circular precursor DCPD (dicyclopentadiene) from Shell Chemicals Europe, which is also ISCC Plus certified. The strategic collaboration between the two companies will ensure a reliable supply of bio-circular DCPD to support OQ Chemicals’ production.

     

  • In June 2023, OQ Chemicals launched Oxbalance TCD Alcohol DM, a sustainable alternative to conventional TCD Alcohol DM (Tricyclodecane Dimethanol). The ISCC PLUS-certified product is made from more than 70% biobased and biocircular feedstocks. OQ Chemicals recently increased its production capacity for TCD Alcohol DM in 2022 and is now expanding the application range for this product with the biobased variant.

     

  • In September 2022, OQ Chemicals introduced Neopentyl Glycol Diheptanoate for the cosmetics and personal care industry. The light ester-based Neopentyl Glycol Diheptanoate is a suitable alternative to the critically viewed cyclic silicone compounds such as cyclosiloxanes (D4-D6), also known as cyclomethicones. Due to its special properties, cosmetics manufacturers like to use Neopentyl Glycol Diheptanoate for color cosmetics, skin care, hair care, sun care, and antiperspirant formulations.
